Ceramatest 800 - Glass-Mica Composite
Ceramatest 800 (formerly known as Ceramatest 1600) is a glass mica composite available in standard sheets from Professional Plastics. Ceramatest 800 is a perfect alternative to high performance plastics and ceramics where high temperature, good dielectric strength and good arc resistance are required. This material is softer than other high temperature machinable ceramics allowing for the fabrication of intricate or complex shapes. Ceramatest 800 can be drilled or tapped and can accommodate helicoil inserts. In addition, no post firing is required after fabrication.
